WHO WE ARE

The Food and Nutrition Education in Communities programs are outreach programs targeted to limited resource populations that are delivered through Cornell Cooperative Extension accross New York State, including New York City. 

These programs include:

Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)

Eat Smart New York - Food Stamp Nutrition Education

Farmers' Market Nutrition Education Program


Cornell faculty providing leadership for The Food and Nutrition Education in Communities programs are housed in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University.  The Division is the largest academic unit in the United States devoted to human nutrition and one of the world's preeminent institutions for nutrition education, research and service.  It is also one of the most diversified, with the expertise in molecular and human nutrition, nutritional qualities of food, international nutrition, food policy, and community nutrition.  Opportunities exist for graduate and undergraduate students in the Division of Nutritional Sciences to work with faculty in research and service learning projects throughout New York and beyond through FNEC Programs.
