New York State Developed Resources

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) developed the County Reporting System (CRS5) as a replacement for the Evaluation and Reporting System (ERS4). In New York State, we have individualized the ERS4 and CRS5 programs to capture the additional evaluation information we capture within the state. As a result of these additional reporting expectations, we have also invested resources in the development of a New York State County Reporting System (CRS5) Manual.

The CRS5 Manual 2010

As new data collection and reporting expectations are introduced, the CRS5 Manual is updated. CRS5 Manual 2010

The CRS5 Software

During the transition from ERS4 to CRS5 each association within New York State was provided an installation CD-Rom containing all installation files. Additional copies of the installation CD-Rom are not available. Please ensure you know where your copy is stored.

National Information

The United States Department of Agriculture developed the Nutrition Education Evaluation and Reporting System (NEERS5) as an expansion of the Evaluation/Reporting System (ERS4). NEERS5 is a multi-level system that includes the county (CRS) and state (SRS) sub-systems. CRS5 was implemented in FY06 and SRS5 was implemented in FY07. The NEERS5 Web site provides resources for new and current users along with answers to frequently asked questions. This web site will be updated as new information becomes available.
