Our Regional Program
New York State began to implement regional programs in federal fiscal year 1997. By federal fiscal year 1999, five regions had been established. Between 1999 and 2001, each county which received EFNEP funds were integrated into a region. The number of regions in the State have varied, however, displayed below is the current structure.
There has been overwhelming support for the regional structure and the importance of regional coordinators in training and communication. The Regional Guidelines and Regional Policy detail the operating principles for our regional program.
