New York City Volunteers Needed for Cornell Cooperative Extension in NYC: For Cornell Cooperative Extension in New York City, safe food cooking demonstrations at state Farmers' Markets is a team effort. Our staff works together with college student volunteers who want to gain valuable community nutrition education at markets in targeted neighborhoods. Via e-mail and our website, we reach out to colleges and universities in New York, particularly those with nutrition and health degree paths. Potential students are interviewed and up to 30 are invited to work with us each season. Make Your Plate 1/2 Vegetables: The Cornell Cooperative Extension in NYC has created a wonderful tool to promote vegetables. The flyer is available in both English and Spanish.
